The Blues...

Got a case of the blues today. More a case of feeling stink for mucking up at my new job. No one likes to make mistakes and feel like they have let people down. This has been my friend this morning...

Sometimes you just get in to a funk and the need to wallow a little ensues... Afterall there are other people out there who have deeper concerns going on. Been depressed is a part of life and I don't begrudge anyone the indulgence.

Paisley Jade's blog this morning was a good reminder that there is always something to be thankful for so yes I am thankful for chocolate! Hehe.

All I can say is that despite making mistakes in my new job and feeling a bit poo's I still know that God is for me and not against me, His plans for me are for good - not for evil, He's works all things for good, no weapons formed against me shall prosper, He will never leave me nor forsake me, He has forgiven me, He sees my tears and fears and cover's me with His mighty hand. Thank God I have Him otherwise I would have rolled up into a ball sitting in the corner collecting dust years ago! He is my hope and my heart for better.

Crafting it up!

Its been awhile. I've been making stuff and stuff. Babies (and those that are still baking) have given me crafty inspiration. And I must say my crochet hook(s) have been at work. I have actually made something for myself which is nice for a change.

This is my new blanky made with thick wool and a number 10 crochet hook.

This is for my other bestie's baby coming in September. He's an accountant so I thought this would be appropriate for his little man. I got the idea from here.

My last little gem is recycled crayons I'm making for my niece. Master 9 doesn't use the crayons much anymore and I had some myself so I decided to use the idea I got from here that I originally saw on Pinterest. Well back to making my ugly blanket.

The Night Markets

Mrs Kiwi at Heart and I had a stall at the Night Markets last week. It was good for a laugh and a few sales for me. Our town holds this market on the last Friday of every month. Its a good time but like anything it needs participation from locals to make it pump! So if your local come along and support locally made goods and people on-selling their treasures! Op Shop Bargain!!!!

I fell in love today.... I was doing my usual Op Shop Thursday thing and then I glimpsed these....

I have a cake tin fetish! Look how big this lovely cake tin is (hense the Chapstick showing you how humongous this gorgeous tin is!). I'm looking forward to finding some Nut Loaf recipes for my new nut loaf tin. Soooo loving these. Op Shops Rock!
